Late afternoon in the Valley

Today was beautiful! The cold weather was shipped southward so our temperature was the same as our old home on Vancouver Island-- minus 5 Celsius.
As the sun set in the late afternoon, the colours were spectacular!

Mount Vanier's pyramid type peak just a bit too the right of centre
Amazing colours, so often seen in winter!
Looking to the west the colour was brighter
Later in the evening, at 8:30 p.m. the northern lights made a brief appearance.
