Drive to Kusawa Lake

We'd been curious about how Kusawa Lake was doing this spring. I also wanted to check for migrating birds.

It was overcast and warm. Some interesting colours with the sky...

White birds were running around.

After a nice stroll on the shore, it was time to leave.

Near Mendenhall Landing, there were some birds on the Takhini River.

Lone Bufflehead

A Bald Eagle flew overhead.

Back on the Alaska Highway approaching our driveway I noticed some movement. The elk were on the driveway, waiting to cross the highway!
