After breakfast we headed to the hotsprings for another soak. This meant a late morning start on the highway. By about 11:30 a.m. we were back on the road headed south on the Alaska Highway. The fall colours were grand!

There was a fair bit of re-construction underway that required
waiting for pilot cars to escort us through the construction zone.
At one of the stops, there was some local entertainment!

The fall colours were striking. Then we arrived in Muncho Lake Provincial Park.

There are two provincial park campgrounds at Muncho Lake. Macdonald is on the northern end of the lake and the first that we came to southbound. So we pulled in to take a look and see if there was a good campsite available.

After setting up, it was time for a dog walk along the shoreline.

It was still early in the afternoon when we arrived; Muncho Lake isn't far from Liard hotsprings. Just over an hour of driving.
Later in the afternoon, near suppertime, a rainbow appeared to the west.

A few hours later and the sun was setting over Muncho Lake while shining on the tops of the mountains to the west.

It was a very short drive today, and we had a lovely spot for the night.
