We drove this route in 1993, and then a short bit of it in 2008.
In 1993, we arrived in Skagway via the Alaska Marine Highway from Haines AK.

Arrived in Skagway mid-afternoon. For some reason, we spent only a couple of hours in Skagway and I didn't take any pictures. It seemed there just wasn't a lot to see. The tourist area downtown was just that ... a tourist area. Dawson City was far more impressive.
Late in the day we left Skagway, not sure where we would camp for the night.

Historical train station in Carcross
Carcross is a small place. We explored the town in less than 30 minutes. It is, however, in a beautiful location. The surrounding mountains are beautiful!
