Haines Junction to Kluane Lake, Alaska Highway

5 September 2016 - Monday

Finally! A sunny day and so we headed out.

Nearing Haines Junction, there's a rest area/viewpoint with views of Mount Kennedy in the distance. Often the mountain isn't visible. Today it was.

Continued north on the Alaska Highway at Haines Junction, towards Kluane Lake.

Congdon Creek campground was quiet when we arrived in the afternoon so we parked in our favourite campsite and enjoyed some afternoon hiking with the dogs.
