Tazz-alarm didn't go off until 7 a.m. The programmable
thermostat is set to turn on at
8 a.m. so woke up to a chilly fifth wheel.
On the road at 9 a.m. after a dog walk on Ormond Trail, just across the road from the campground.

Looking south from a viewpoint on the Ormond Trail, towards Fraser
Lake and its sawmill
Good road today, although drove into some light rain near Telkwa on Hwy 16. Departed the PetroCan gas station at the junction of Hwy 16 & 37 (the Cassiar Hwy) at 2:30 p.m.
The further north we venture the harder it rains. By the time we reach Meziadin Lake Provincial Park/campground it is p-o-u-r-i-n-g. Really pouring!
During our dog walk around the campground, met a fellow heading north to Anchorage on his motorcycle. Poor guy was soaked through. He was a bit concerned as he had heard that the Cassiar was all gravel northward. We assured him that was not the truth and he'd encounter only a few gravel/dirt sections. He hoped to reach Anchorage in a few days and was relieved to hear our words.
The park host says the weather was not clearing for another few days. Wonderful!
