Today we had to leave Teklanika campground. It was a nice stay. Very relaxing. So quiet and peaceful, away from the hectic mumble jumble of the highways.
Tazz's eye was red again this a.m. so I put in more eye drops.
Decided to stay overnight at Riley Creek campground at the park entrance. This would give us the opportunity to clean up before heading south towards the Denali Highway as we had planned. We had enjoyed driving this gravel road in 1993 and looked forward to being on it again.
The skies were overcast as we headed out. These clouds made my day yesterday in the clear blue sky more special.

The fall colours were brilliant even on a cloudy day
At Riley Creek I paid $2.25 per washer load of laundry and $2 for each dryer. At the mercantile by the laundry I also caught up on email.
Later I noticed Tazz was a bit stiff getting out of the fifth wheel, favouring her left rear side. After having some Deramaxx (a doggy painkiller) she was in good spirits and joined me for the short walk to the post office. Then we all went out for a bit of a hike around the area.
Overall, a quiet day to catch up on chores, clean the fifth wheel, and relax before hitting the road again.
