A very quiet night! What to do now? Steve wanted to try some fishing so this wasn't the spot to be. Another beautiful morning for a dog walk.
There's a good trail south of the campground, leads around a little lake. It is a bit overgrown and some trees have fallen across it, but it is do-able.

Hiking around the lake, apparently an old side channel of the

On the road again, returning north on the Haines Highway.

We stopped at Sulphur Lake, thinking Steve could get some fishing in. Hmmm ... someone was testing their 'new' hover craft. Noisy! Time to move on.

Kluane Lake comes into view northbound on the Alaska Highway

The visitor centre is a good spot to stop for more info

Ah ... Kluane Lake. Every shade of blue!
We stopped at the boat launch and Steve headed off for some fishing while I wandered around with my camera. This area is a favourite for us. Love it, during all seasons!

No fish tonight! Sigh. While waiting for Steve I met some nice folks who shared their grilled lake trout. Very good!
Decided to head up to Congdon Creek campground for the night. We expected it to be busy because there was a fishing derby underway. Once again, a favourite site was available so in we went. The evening was beautiful. Walked back to the highway with the dogs, then up to the creek, then over to the lake and along the shore to the campground.
